Generic name: Leuprolide (loo-PROE-lide)
Lupron Depot is a gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH) agonist used to treat endometriosis or prostate cancer. It is also used to treat central precocious puberty (CPP).
Lupron Depot works by blocking the over production of testosterone in men and estrogen in women to stop the growth of the diseased cells involved in prostate cancer and endometriosis.
