Inderal and Inderal-LA is a beta blocker used to treat high blood pressure, angina pectoris (chest pain) and abmormal heart rhythms (arrhythmia) before and after incidence of a heart attack. It may also be used to treat other conditions as determined by your doctor.
Inderal and Inderal-LA both work by relaxing your blood vessels so your heart doesn't have to pump as hard.
