Dilantin is an anticonvulsant used to treat various types of convulsions and other epileptic-like seizures. It may also be used to treat other conditions as determined by your doctor.
Dilantin works in part by stabilizing nerve cells and slows down various impulses produced by the brain, making nerve cells less excitable in those prone to seizure.
