Generic Name: Verapamil (ver-RAP-a-mil)
Isoptin, Chronovera and Verapamil are calcium channel blockers used to treat angina (chest pain), high blood pressure or other conditions of rapid heart rate. It may also be used to treat other conditions as determined by your doctor.
Isoptin, Chronovera and Verapamil all works by slowing the passage of nerve impulses through the heart, improving the blood flow through the heart and throughout the body, reducing blood pressure and correcting irregular heartbeat (arrhythmias) preventing angina pain.
